As a pivotal aspect of the development of countries and regions, the arena of scientific developments and entrepreneurial approaches to energy issues plays a decisive role. A look at the status of research and innovative businesses in Africa and Europe will provide valuable insights for all stakeholders. Involvement of young people who remain an anchor to innovation and new idea generation remains paramount. 11 Young Scientists and Entrepreneurs have been selected to present their research and business ideas in the AEEP’s first “science and business slam”.
